Dr. Joseph Q. Jarvis is a physician, author, and health-care reform advocate whose work spans public health, policy, and faith-centered inquiry. He is the author of The Purple World: Healing the Harm in American Health Care, What the Single Eye Sees: Faith, Hope, Charity and the Pursuit of Discipleship, The Hope of the Promise: Israel in Ancient & Latter Days, and most recently For the Hurt of My People: Original Conservatism and Better, Simpler Health Care.
A passionate champion for transforming the nation’s health-care system, Dr. Jarvis co-founded Utah Cares, a nonprofit working to bring sustainable, voter-driven health system reform to Utah through a 2026 ballot initiative. His vision: better, simpler health care that provides every Utah resident access to needed treatment with no out-of-pocket costs at the time of service.
He is also a devoted student of religion and spirituality, sharing insights with those seeking deeper understanding of the gospel.
